2024 Fall Career & Graduate School Fair

When: Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Where: Kellogg Hall, WWU campus, College Place WA

Students of all majors will be attending our annual Career and Graduate School Fair. Career events bring employers, WWU students and alumni together for networking, recruiting and industry education. Whenever possible, we encourage participating organizations to bring alumni to this event to connect with fellow Walla Walla University students and share their experiences.

Space is limited to 50 employer organizations. Employers can register on Handshake to attend starting August 2024. Registered organizations will each have a table with a tablecloth and signage with their name. Lunch will be provided. The cost to attend is $50 per organization.

The Student Development Center at Walla Walla University requires all organizations participating in our campus recruiting program (e.g., job/internship postings, on-campus events such as interviews and information sessions, Meetups, Career Fairs) to abide by our recruiting policies. Registering for an event or other recruiting activity means that you have read and agree to the terms of our Recruiting policies.

The registration fee is non-refundable after 5:00 p.m. PST on October 4th, 2024. Cancelation requests must be sent in writing to student.development@regaloteas.com

Recruiting on Campus

We welcome recruitment visits any time during academic terms. Visits should be scheduled at least three weeks in advance to ensure best results. The Student Development Center will coordinate your visit and schedule any interviews in accordance to your preferences. If you have questions or need assistance, please email career@regaloteas.com or call us at (509) 527-2313.

Recruitment visits may include:

  • General Information Sessions: Recommended for the evening before interviews. A session gives you the opportunity to discuss your organization with potential interviewees and other interested students, as well as to answer common questions. Presentation aids such as computers, projectors, and audio-visual equipment are available upon request.
  • Interviews: Employers may reserve the Employer Relations Suite for job interviews. Our office can assist with scheduling student appointments if requested.
  • Tabling events: Recruiter information tables are a convenient way for your company to share information and career opportunities with students in an informal setting walk-by setting. Employers may request approval for a location in an academic department or outside the Cafeteria.
  • Class visits: Visits to classes can reach students in a relevant field of study. Five minute introductions and presentations are the least disruptive to classes. Due to the requirement of prior permission from the professor, class visits should be requested at least two months in advance.

Other Ways to Connect with Students

Starting an internship at your organization is a great way to share knowledge with tomorrows leaders, while increasing the productivity and capacity of your business. Volunteer to conduct mock interviews and provide feedback to students, provide a job shadow experience, or host an on-site visit of your workplace to offer students an up close and personal view of your staff’s daily activities.

Employer Site Visit Program

This program provides students with the opportunity to experience the workplace up close and personal. Employers plan an interactive on-site program where students will be able to:

  • Get an insider’s view of your organization
  • Meet key personnel and find out skills needed to be successful in the field
  • Observe the day-to-day activities of your staff, discuss specific jobs and careers, and sometimes obtain limited hands-on experience
  • Take a tour of your facility
  • Eat lunch and begin establishing their career network

Offer Job Shadowing

The Job Shadow Program provides students the opportunity to explore occupations of interest to them. Students will be paired with a professional employed in their prospective occupation and will shadow them at their place of employment. Students participating in this program will be able to:

  • Interact with professionals and learn skills needed to be successful in that occupation
  • Take a behind the scene look at daily work activities involved in that occupation
  • Enhance their academic experience
  • Network and build relationships with professionals

Host Mock Interviews

This is a great opportunity for employers and alumni to volunteer to share their industry and career expertise with WWU students. Students get a chance to practice their interviewing skills, become familiar with commonly asked questions and to receive feedback about their interviewing style. This also provides employers an opportunity to build their brand on-campus and gain additional exposure to Walla Walla University students. Employers and Alumni ccan volunteer to conduct 30 minute long interviews (15 minutes for the interview; 15 minutes for feedback) which are conducted in the Student Development Center.
